On April 15, 2005 David Olan met with Governor Howard Dean at the mediation offices of Judicate West in Los Angeles, California. This was a small event held for certain inner circle democrats to meet and strategize with Governor Dean.

Governor Dean is the new chair of the Democratic National Committee, succeeding Terry McAuliffe. As chairman, he is lead spokesman and fundraiser for the party. He was officially chosen on February 12 by the Democratic National committee. He now travels the country, meeting Democratic supporters, speaking and listening to them about issues and candidates.
